SUMMARY:
Published by Top Cow Productions-Image Comics for November 2005, this issue apparently concludes The Darkness, Volume 2. Ending the three-part “All in the Family,” guest star Magdalena establishes a temporary truce with mob hitman Jackie “The Darkness” Estacado to confront the Angelus. Seemingly betrayed by Appolonia Franchetti, a powerless Jackie and a now-possessed Magdalena stand little chance against the Angelus (in the body of the late Lauren Franchetti).
REVIEW:
Surprisingly well-written and supported by high-caliber visuals (including a spot-on cover image), this issue nicely benefits from Magdalena’s guest spot. The issue’s only incongruity is why the Angelus is scantily-dressed, as there isn’t any logical reason (short of Top Cow aiming for cheap eye candy with this intriguing character). Even for non-fans, The Darkness # 24 proves a relatively entertaining read.

There’s a single-page “World Moos” news-and-notes column.
