SUMMARY:
Published by Marvel Comics for August 2015, this Secret Wars Battleworld spin-off is entitled “The Quiet Room.” At Black Bolt’s posh, Casablanca-like nightclub, the Quiet Room, he charms otherworldly Auran, a spy sent by Queen Medusa. Among those roaming through the club are Matt Murdock and singing entertainer Peter Quill. Initially posing as Tony Stark, shape-shifting Kamala Khan (aka Ms. Marvel) discreetly searches the club’s basement.
Despite her defiance, a wounded Kamala is taken prisoner by Black Bolt’s superior forces. With his new captive a potential bargaining chip, Black Bolt coordinates a Resistance effort to deliver war zone medical supplies on New Mars. Ominously, Murdock finds that Queen Medusa has sprung a lethal trap.
Note: Though the image(s) isn’t available here, the variant cover artists are Dave Johnson and James Stokoe.
REVIEW:
The first page offers a helpful summary setting up this storyline, as to how it spun out of the Secret Wars reboot saga. Capably supported by a top-caliber art team, writer Charles Soule does an excellent job hinting towards ambiguous motives by either Black Bolt or Queen Medusa. The taut sequence of Kamala Khan valiantly defending herself is perhaps this comic’s highlight. Though the characters aren’t engaging, Attilan Rising # 2 is still a solid read.

There is a full-page cover reveal for Inhumans: Attilan Rising # 3.
